Isaiah 61:1,3

[Speaking about Jesus]

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me Because the Lord has anointed me to preach Good tidings to the poor: He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and opening to the prison to those who are bound. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion.”

“To give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, and the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

You are more valuable than you could possibly imagine. And because of this Jesus was willing to dye to bring as many into Heaven as He possibly can. He gave us a free will because He loved us enough to let us make our own decision to be with Him for eternity or not. This does also mean that those who do not want to give their hearts to Christ and have fellowship with God will not be in Heaven with Him also. So your time is limited on the Earth. Believers who gave themselves to Jesus will return with Jesus to the Earth when He sets up His Kingdom and will rule and reign with Him.

There is a story about a king who liked to take walks in the city park every morning before his Duties for the day had to get started. He always took guards to go with him so he was never alone. As he started this daily routine, he saw a 1/2 starved man on the park bench in rough clothing laying there with nothing. The king had compassion on him and thought about what he can do to help this man before he would dye.

So not wanting anyone to know what he was doing, he took 25 gold coins and gave then to his baker in the kitchen and instructed him to bake donuts every day this week and put 5 gold coins in one of them each day for 5 days. So as the king took his walks through the park and was eating donuts himself, he offered the donut with the gold coins in it to the poor man. No one knew anything about what the king was doing. so this went on for five days, the man receiving a 5 gold coin donut every day.

After the five days the king no longer was eating donuts and the man in the park was well dressed and and well fed and looked good by the fifth day. As the king walked in the park on the sixth day and passed the man he helped and saved his life; the man yelled out to him, [HEY-WHERES MY DONUT]!

The point of the story is that the man had an ungrateful heart. He was not interested in the king or a friendship with him. He only wanted what the king could provide him. The kings deed was good but the heart of the man was bad. God has given to us, life, gifts and talents. a body, a mind, conscience, God has already invested in us and we are not grateful because our hearts are not right with God. In the same way, it takes many kids to become adults for some amount of time before they can appreciate what their parents went through and sacrificed when they were growing up. So bringing gratefulness and deeper relationship than when they were kids. Parents and kids can become best friends and not just relations.

This brings me to the scripture.

{Luke 15:11,32]

“Then he said, a certain man had 2 sons. The younger of them said to the father, father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me. So he divided to them his livelihood. [or inheritance]. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living.

[meaning-Spending money and resources freely and recklessly, wastefully extravagant. parties, harlots, etc..

But when he had spent all there arose a severe famine in the land and he began to be in want. Then he went and joined himself to a citizen in the country, and sent him into hid fields to feed swine and he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate and no one would give him anything. but when he came to himself he said, “how many of my fathers hired servants have bread enough to spare and I perish with hunger”!

I will arise and go to my father and I will say to him, “Father I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am not worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants” And he arose and came to his father. But when he was a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

And the son said to him, “Father, I have sinned against Heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son” but the father said to the servants, “Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was alive again; he was lost and now was found,” And they began to be merry.

Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. And he said to him, “your brother has come and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf”

But he was angry and would not go in. therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. So he answered and said to his father, “Lo these many years I have been serving you; I have never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat that I might make merry with my friends. But as soon as this son of yours came who has delivered your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.”

And he said to him, ” son you are always with me and all that I have is yours. It is right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and was alive again, and was lost and is found.”

[NIV] Bible.

God wants a restored heart relationship with us, a heart relationship. That means that we let him into our life by receiving Jesus into our spirit. Notice the two sons. They actually were both separated from their father. They both took their inheritance from their father. Now when some one gets an inheritance the benefactor has died. The beneficiary then is free to do what he or she wants with the inheritance.

One son went and spent it all on himself. The father paid for it all, the son was living high on everything that came from his father and had no regard of how the father felt about it or if he hurt his fathers heart by doing this. This was a very cold hearted thing to do. It was like saying that all I want from you is what I can get out of you, I cant even wait for you to dye to get my inheritance! I want it now. The father was loving his son but the son was not loving the father and couldnt care less.

The older son who also took his inheritance also had the same attitude or wouldnt have taken the inheritance now while his father was still alive. This son stayed and worked his fathers land and appeared to be loyal and was good son to his father. I reality he was waiting to inherit all his father had by waiting for his father to dye, then all would be his.

So he was just as cold as his younger brother who left but was more calculated on his future. The older son was trying to keep a relationship alive with his father through his hard work, not a heart relationship with his father. You can see this when he rebuked his father for killing the fatted calf for his younger brother when he returned. He was furious because he had been working hard for the inheritance and the younger brother just walks in and takes it and gets what the older son was wanting all along.

So why did the father kill the fatted calf and give his son gifts and bring him into his house like a family member? Because the son repented. He saw what he was doing. He saw his sin. He saw how he hurt his father and didnt care about his fathers heart. He saw the Love of his father towards him and how he rejected it . He saw that the world was an illusion and had nothing for him like the relationship with his father. With his father he had security, purpose, love, help, fellowship, Inheritance. Abundant life.

We must remember that those of us who are in the kingdom and will get an inheritance will be getting it with a living God . God does not dye and then the inheritance. So the father and son walked into the house together. A eternal relationship. The older son was jealous, mad, bitter. All his work didnt get him what he wanted because the father wanted a heart relationship with him, not all his work. The older son was working by the law! In other words because he had to- in order to get the inheritance. He dint like it. The younger son got the inheritance because this son put the father first as the number one priority and not the inheritance.

The younger son and his father became as one and the older son did not. He did not repent of his heart rebellion. In his flesh, he looked like he was obeying the father but in his heart and mind he was despising him. So when the younger brother got the inheritance it manifested what was in the heart of the older son. So the older son was a hypocrite looking like he loved his father but did not.

This applies to us also. Works we do without Christ in our hearts only can benefit some what on the Earth but will not get us into heaven or in favor with God because you cannot earn Heaven. Jesus and Heaven are given as a gift to us by simply receiving Gods son Jesus. That is what God is waiting for you to do. I received Him in 1985 and thats when the supernatural started happening in my life.

God wants a relationship with us from the heart. In this parable Jesus was addressing the pharisees and the scribes who were proclaiming their own self righteousness through the works of Moses law. Jesus was and is the heart of God and they all rejected Him. So just like the older son in the story, the pharisees and scribes were also rejected. They were self righteous, deceived!

The take away for this is God wants us to repent, just come as we are and dont try to work for it. by faith receive His son Jesus whom He sent to all of us. See your need just as the younger son saw his need. Get to the end of yourself and get sick of living a joyless dead life. God loved you before he ever made you and now he wants you to know Him and love Him just like He loves you.

Everyone in the whole world needs Jesus. Each and every one of you has an inheritance with God if you will turn your life over to Jesus and let Him show you How to be a son or daughter of the kingdom of Heaven. No sin will enter heaven!!! You must let Jesus wash you, cleanse you and show you the Father and build the character of Love in your heart that is the atmosphere of heaven.

Jesus said in [John 3:6,7] “That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you that you must be born again”.

We are Spirits in a body and we have a soul. We are made of three parts. we pay attention to are bodys most of the time and neglect the Spirit part of us where all the issues of life come from. Our bodys just give us the ability to do physically what want to do in our hearts, our spirit man. This is why Jesus must give us a new Spirit because the one were born with is corrupted. It is incapable of doing good works acceptable to God. The Spiritual heart we are born with is incapable of connecting with God because it is full of sin.

We need a new Spirit from Jesus, capable of connecting with the Father. Here is the word for that.

[Ezekiel 36:26,28]

“I will give you a new heart and put a new Spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a new heart of flesh. I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you will keep my judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; You shall be my people and I will be your God.”

Salvation prayer; from the heart by faith. Ask Him in with your words.

God I ask you to forgive me of all my sins and cleanse me, Jesus I ask you to come into my heart and be my lord. I give you my life, make me a child of God and I thank you.

[Romans 10:8,10]

What does it say? the word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that is the word of faith which we preach: That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
